Our Letter to S. Norton

On Saturday 4th May 2024, one of our member groups noticed orange smoke emanating from within the Port of Liverpool's boundary in the early hours of the morning.

After sharing an image online, several responses advised that this may be coming from the vicinity of S. Norton & Co. scrap yard.

Improving the quality of the air we breathe is one of our core goals, so we wanted to follow this up, identify the source of the smoke and prevent it from happening again.

We have written to S. Norton asking for their help. We want to establish whether they burn materials onsite and if they know the source of this smoke.

You can read our letter in full here. We will share any response received.
