Welcome to the South Sefton Communities Alliance; a brand-new organisation with a brand-new website!
This Alliance came about after a few local groups met up for a drink (or two) one hot summer evening to discuss what life is like in our part of Sefton; the good, the bad and the in between.
We quickly realised that we had lots in common.
We do similar work, face similar challenges and want everyone we work with to lead happier, healthier lives.
We felt that there can sometimes be a disconnect between our communities and our elected representatives, meaning that the decisions taken don’t always reflect the wants and needs of the people.
Collectively, we are tired of the negativity that comes in response to this, often channelled through social media!
So, rather than moan, we wanted to do something about it and try a different approach.
This alliance is all about positivity, collaboration (with each other and our politicians) with the goal of improving our quality of life.
It’s been tricky getting this off the ground, even with just a small number of groups, so we hope other groups will understand why we’ve kept things small for launch.
BUT, we want to GROW!
We’ll be meeting on a monthly basis and would love for new groups to come along, learn more about us and hopefully want to get involved.

Don’t worry if you don’t hear from us straight away, we’re still finding our feet, getting to know each other and are busy with our own groups, but we will come back to you.
